When they say renovation here, they mean reconstruction from the frame up. The owners started by stripping the building down to the structure: load-bearing beams and columns installed and reinforced, second-floor structure rebuilt, roof framing solidified. Then everything followed: insulation, updated electrical system with a new panel, ventilation system added, entire plumbing replaced, new interior walls, new staircase, new drywall, fresh paint, moldings throughout. The kitchen was rebuilt in the same spirit: lacquered wood cabinets and drawers, large island with wood countertop, wood backsplash. Both bathrooms are completely new, including the laundry room. All work was carried out by ARV Entrepreneur Général inc., a licensed RBQ general contractor, with a municipal permit available on request.

The exterior received the same level of care: stone and wood siding, roof replaced in 2024, solid wood entrance porch, front balcony, poured concrete wall on the north side with Delta membrane waterproofing. From the foundation to the roofline, nothing was left untouched.

On the main floor, an open-concept layout connects the kitchen, dining room and living room in one bright, connected space. Wood details throughout, lacquered cabinetry and the sloped ceiling upstairs give the home that honest farmhouse character that is hard to find already built. The front balcony extends the living area outdoors. A full bedroom on the main floor adds welcome flexibility: home office, guest room, or multi-purpose space.
